The development, production, integration, management, and delivery of video content across multiple Internet Protocol (IP) platforms is becoming increasingly important in today’s web-based market. As IP video content becomes more and more prevalent, companies need the expert guidance and assistance in order to get their message across and to ensure quality user experience.

As the broadcast market rapidly shifts from traditional media toward IP solutions, many companies are looking to seize amazing opportunities from this emergence.

    • Eliminate or significantly reduce ROI
    • Severely damage brand/company reputation
    • Detract from client/customer/user experience

Eric Giguere

Eric graduated from the Royal Military College in Kingston in 1991, with a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Science. The solid foundation in discipline and perseverance that Eric has gained through his military background and experience show up daily in his ability to succeed with multiple, concurrent, large-scale projects.

Eric then joined the Global Production Group in 1995 where he became the Vice President Business Development, Marketing & Public Relations. He played a leading role in fundraising activities that exceeded 3 M CAN$. He also attracted approximately 3 M CAN$ worth of editorial media coverage within 24 months of launch of the project. Eric led the development of GPG Music for the Group as well as supervising the development of a Modeling Agency.

After 5 years with the Global Production Group, Eric Joined Bell Canada as a Business Development & Marketing Executive. With Bell Canada, Eric took part in the strategic planning and implementation of the business model for the BellZinc SME Portal. He was the project manager in charge for the complete re-design of the BellZinc Portal in April 2003. Eric was also responsible for the integration of all Bell.ca promotions as well as all major sales and reach campaigns, managing a yearly budget exceeding 3 M CAN$.

In 2004, Eric became the person in charge of Event and IP Broadcasting for the Quebec market of the Sympatico/MSN Portal. His principal role was to oversee the integration of the video platform and develop partnerships with content and application providers. The focus of these partnerships was on the broadband presentation of a wide array of internet video content, particularly that of cultural, musical, and sporting events. During Eric’s tenure, over 200 content agreements were put in place under various formats, from pure production, co-production to licensing and syndication. Among others, these included: Pleins feux sur l’humour, LabJeanMarc.com, Les Acoustiques, Les Concerts Pop, Le Studio Énergie de Bell, La série iCulture (first series of cultural shows exclusively produced for the Internet in Quebec) and many others.

Eric left Bell Canada in late-2006 to develop GHE and VQ Services. Since that time, Eric has worked on numerous business development mandates, including interim President and CEO of SPIN Communication, which is a multi-media and production company specializing in the Internet. During his tenure at SPIN, he signed strategic agreements for a number of video productions: coverage of the Bell Challenge Tennis Tournament in Quebec City; Post-Game Analysis for the Montreal Canadiens; and a special feature project for SAQ. Eric also negotiated an agreement for the coverage of the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Pageant as well as the transfer of LabJeanMarc.com to the Canoe Portal, the agreement for which multiplied the overall revenue for the producer by a factor of five.
